Network and Telecommunication technician
The Network and Telecommunication Technician has as goal to survey and maintain a good network and telecommunication of the company.
He often works under the direction of a Network Administrator. The interventions of the Network Technician vary depending on the size and the organization of the company. On top of his technical competences he has to be very proactive and have great skills of adapting.
Principal goals
- Install and test the connection, the data processing material and the network’s applications.
- Follow up the network performance
- Assure the administration and security: put in disposition security tools and backup, messaging administration, telephony network, and video transmission.
- Intervene with the creation of user accounts to prevent incidents or anomalies.
- Assist and advice the users.
- Participate in architectural network projects.

Possible career
The Network Technician can advance towards more delicate missions, including new equipments and more complex installations. He can also choose to become Network Administrator or even Micro Network Manager.
